Injuries are piling up for Team Clark
Satou Sabally has announced that she will remain out of the WNBA All-Star weekend due to an injury. It’s a huge blow for Team Caitlin Clark, who now lose one of their starters ahead of the showdown with Team Naphessa Collier.
The 27-year-old has been out of action in the WNBA from July 3rd, and she is expected to remain on the sidelines at least till July 23rd. The All-Star starter is currently recovering from a nagging ankle injury that has sidelined her since early July. The Phoenix Mercury star provided an update on her fitness via Instagram recently.
"We really have to put an emphasis on the players in our league right now, but I love to see the league growing."

Satou Sabally wrote, “Over the past two weeks, I’ve been working around the clock to rehab my body from injury with two goals in mind: to return to the court with my Mercury sisters as soon as possible, and to be able to participate as a starter in the All Star Game.”
She added, “Unfortunately, my body still needs more time to recover, and I am unable to suit up and play in this weekend’s game. I’m disappointed, naturally, but I want to ensure I’m doing everything I can to be healthy after the break and give my organization and the X-Factor everything I can as we compete to accomplish our team goals.”
Satou Sabally also revealed that she will be in Indianapolis for the weekend, where the WNBA All-star game will be played. She’ll still travel to Indianapolis for the All-Star weekend as part of the ongoing CBA agreement discussions with the league.
Jackie Young, who is in the reserves of Team Caitlin Clark for the WNBA All-star game is also likely to miss extended action. She exited Wednesday’s game against the Dallas Wings with a hip injury.
Despite playing 25 minutes in the game, Jackie Young managed to score only two points. Despite a lackluster showing, the Las Vegas Aces managed to pull off a narrow 90-86 victory against the Dallas Wings.
