The NFL seasons is now over after the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles spoiled the Chiefs’ three-peat dreams and did it in a spectacular fashion. They held the Chiefs scoreless until almost the very end of the third quarter and handed Patrick Mahomes one of his worst losses ever. The final score was 40-22 but it was never that close to begin with. The Eagles’ defense was outstanding and we haven’t seen that kind of defensive effort for more than a decade. The Chiefs had not lost a playoff game since three years and it was starting to look like no team in the NFL could win against them.
One of the biggest reasons that the Eagles were in the Super Bowl was Saquon Barkley. Barkley had a terrific season in 2024 where he crossed 2000 plus rushing yards and added a whole new dynamic to the Eagles’ offense. While he did not have the best Super Bowl performance statistically, his presence alone helped create various passing lanes for the receivers. Barkley was a top-5 MVP candidate this season and what a turnaround it has been for him. The New York Giants traded him to the Eagles last season and he immediately won the Super Bowl and has a historic season.
Recently on the Howard Stern show, Barkley defended pop icon Taylor Swift because of the boos she received during the Super Bowl. What did he say? Let’s find out.
Taylor Swift got showed on the big screen and got booed aggressively.

During the Super Bowl, Taylor Swift was also in the building to show support to her boyfriend Travis Kelce. She has attended a lot of Chiefs’ games ever since they started dating and this has some fans upset. Why? It is because Taylor Swift is one of the most famous and popular celebrities from across the globe and with fame comes love, support, and hatred. During the Super Bowl, fans heavily booed Swift for quite simply supporting her boyfriend.
Saquon Barkley was not a big fan of the crowd booing Swift and he defended her by saying “(Taylor Swift) was there supporting her significant other, and she’s made the game bigger.” He continued “We’re trying to expand the game, and her being a part of it is only helping it. I don’t get the dislike she’s getting.”
Barkley is not wrong here. Swift has brought in a lot of financial gains for the league, adding over $1 billion in brand value. Her presence will only help the game grow and create more awareness amongst non-football fans. All she does is cheer and love her boyfriend and there is nothing wrong with that. So unless Kelce retires this off-season, fans will continue to see Swift as she brings in a tonne of attention and views to the NFL worldwide.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
