Team Europe will take on Team World between 19-21 September.
20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer welcomed Carlos Alcaraz to the Laver Cup 2025 in classic fashion. The duo engaged in a game of golf alongside Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud and others. Alcaraz will be representing Team Europe across three days between 19-21 September, 2025. Set to take part in his first competitive tournament since his glorious US Open triumph, the six-time Grand Slam champion received an early reminder from the Swiss maestro.
There is no hiding the fact that Alcaraz is a massive fan of golf. The Spanish sensation has spoken about his golfing escapades on multiple occasions, including his infamous battles with Andy Murray. The 22-year-old is currently in tennis paradise – he has won seven trophies in 2025 – including two majors. He is also on a run of eight straight tournaments where he has reached the final, and has a success rate of 91% this year.
According to Federer, the golfing prowess of ‘Carlitos’ is very impressive too. The eight-time Wimbledon champion took to Instagram to share some images of the duo on the course. “Welcome to Laver Cup 2025, Carlos Alcaraz,” wrote Federer. Although they never got to face each other on the court, Federer and Alcaraz share an amicable equation off the court. “Nice work on the golf course. Hope you packed your tennis rackets,” he reminded the World No. 1.
