Daniel Jones is joining a Super Bowl contender as he wishes.
Former Giants’ quarterback, Daniel Jones is signing with the Minnesota Vikings per Jordan Schultz.
Jones was released by the Giants last Friday after a mutual agreement, according to team owner John Mara.
On Monday, Daniel Jones became a free agent after clearing waivers. From that point on, Jones made his intentions clear: to join a Super Bowl contender.
The Vikings were frequently mentioned alongside teams like the Cowboys and the Jets as potential landing spots for the former first-round draft pick of the Giants.
Kevin O’Connell praised Jones last Monday.
Currently holding a 9-2 record, the Vikings are in contention for an NFC North division title, battling closely with the Detroit Lions.
Despite the preseason injury to JJ McCarthy, the Vikings have remained competitive with Sam Darnold leading the offense. Jones will take on a backup role within the Vikings’ roster.
In six seasons with the Giants, Daniel Jones compiled a record of 22-44-1, with 70 touchdowns and 47 interceptions.
