Red Bull Salzburg Full Squad List for Club World Cup 2025, Key Players to Watch, and More

The Club World Cup begins on 15th June.

After a heartbreaking loss in the Austrian Bundesliga, RB Salzburg look to avenge their defeat in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in USA. Jurgen Saumel and his SK Sturm Graz side toppled the bulls, meaning that Thomas Letsch will be keen on making amends. Salzburg has been drawn in Group-H alongside Real Madrid, Al Hilal and Pachuca.

Founded in 1933, Salzburg has signed various sponsorship deals over the years. The Red Bull acquisition took place in 2005, after which the team changed its colours from violet-white to red-white. Unfortunately, they have been slotted in a nightmarish group with the 15-time Champions League winners as well as the record Saudi Arabian champions.

Oscar Gloukh:

It is safe to say that central attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh dictates play for RB Salzburg. The 21-year-old from Israel picked up 10 goals and 5 assists in the recent league season. With incredible dribbling and pace, he holds the key to success for the Austrian giants.

Karim Konate:

Another 21-year-old, Konate is a cheat code in terms of attacking prowess. The marksman scored 20 goals in 29 encounters in the 2023-24 campaign. However, a cruciate ligament tear kept him out of the ongoing season. He will unfortunately be sidelined for the Club World Cup – making it a massive loss for the reds and whites.

Red Bull Salzburg New Players Joined

Ahead of the 2025-26 season, Salzburg has made a number of low risk signings. The full-back department has been revitalised with two arrivals – Amar Dedic from Marseille (€100K) and Stefan Lainer from Borussia Monchengladbach (free). In the midfield, a €3.5 million signing of 22-year-old talent Frans Kratzig happens to be their most expensive recruitment. He can also play as a defender.
