‘Real Madrid Have Had an Eye on Him, but Now It’s Impossible’ – Jose Fortes, Ryan Gravenberch’s Agent Drops Some Big Transfer Hints

Jose Fortes who is Ryan Gravenberch’s Agent had some interesting news to share in his latest interview. Claiming that the Dutchman could’ve been a Real Madrid player, Fortes claimed the Spanish giants have had an eye on him.

Gravenberch who joined Liverpool in September 2023, has had a sparking season under Arne Slot. Fortes reflecting on the 22-year-old’s season said he is good enough for Real Madrid as he told Marca:

“He’s good enough for Real Madrid. We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money”.

“I know they’ve had their eye on him, but now it’s impossible”, added Fortes.

Gravenberch could’ve had a different future as Barcelona tried to sign him when he was 16. Speaking on the subject and how the Dutchman’s father and Fortes prioritised skill development, Fortes said:

“When Ryan was 16, he called us from Barça. They wanted to sign him, but his father and I prioritized his development. In Ajax, he has been able to have an evolution that he possibly would not have had in Barça,”

Fortes who has been a part of Team Raiola for a while also had the same thoughts about Micky Van de Ven. Claiming he could also be on the levels that can suit Real Madrid, the Spaniard said

“Micky also has the level to play one day in a big one like Real Madrid. In addition, Madrid needs a player behind their characteristics.”

Fortes who managed some of the top-notch players took a lot off his chest. Real Madrid has been speculated to have defensive recruitments in the Club World Cup transfer window.
