Unless fresh terms are agreed upon, Antony is due to report back to Manchester United for pre-season duties this summer.
Real Betis are preparing to open discussions with Manchester United over a potential loan extension for Brazilian winger Antony. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a resurgence since arriving in Seville on loan in January, and the Spanish side are now pushing to retain him for the 2025-26 campaign.
After struggling for form at Old Trafford under new manager Ruben Amorim earlier this season, Antony has thrived in La Liga. Antony has contributed five goals and four assists across La Liga and and the UEFA Conference League. The skilful winger has quickly established himself as a key figure in Betis’ late-season push for Champions League qualification.

Antony continued to improve his growing reputation in Spain by playing a key role in Real Betis’ dominant 5-1 win over Real Valladolid on Thursday evening. The Brazilian was instrumental in Betis’ third goal, driving at the Valladolid defence before delivering a perfectly timed pass to Aitor Ruibal, who cut it back for Isco to finish with ease.
According to The Telegraph. Real Betis are said to be seeking a deal that would extend the winger’s stay for another year without triggering a permanent transfer. While there is no buy option included in the current arrangement, Betis are reportedly willing to continue covering a significant portion of Antony’s salary, which is currently 84% plus bonuses.

Unless fresh terms are agreed upon, Antony is due to report back to Manchester United for pre-season duties this summer. However, with his strong form in Spain and a more settled rhythm at Betis, the Andalusian club remains hopeful that they can negotiate another successful loan spell.
Real Betis reportedly submitted their first offer earlier this week to extend Antony’s stay on a season-long loan, but the proposal was swiftly rejected by Manchester United. With head coach Ruben Amorim having no plans to retain Antony, United are hoping to recoup a portion of the £85m ($113m) they spent to sign him from Ajax in 2022. As a result, the Red Devils are prioritizing a permanent sale for Antony.
