PSG vs Reims Coupe de France Final – Injury News, Match Preview and Predicted Line-Ups

Abhinav Goel

Paris Saint-Germain will treat the clash as a dress rehearsal for next week’s UEFA Champions League showdown with Inter Milan.

The curtain will come down on the French domestic season this Saturday night at the iconic Stade de France as Paris Saint-Germain take on Reims in the Coupe de France final. While the stakes are sky-high, the two teams arrive under very different circumstances.

For PSG, the match presents a golden opportunity to take one step closer to a historic treble. With the Ligue 1 title already secured and a UEFA Champions League final looming next week, Luis Enrique’s side will be eager to maintain their winning momentum. The Parisians head into this final having won their last two league fixtures convincingly, netting seven goals against Montpellier and Auxerre.

Meanwhile, for Reims, the final represents a rare shot at silverware in what has otherwise been a tense and uncertain campaign. The club hasn’t lifted a major trophy since their Ligue 1 triumph in 1961-62, and this weekend could either bring glory or doom. Coach Samba Diawara’s side are still fighting to stay in Ligue 1 in the relegation playoff against Metz.

Though PSG are strong favorites, Reims have proven to be a thorn in their side, holding the Paris giants to draws in both of their league meetings this season. In fact, five of the last six encounters between these two have ended level, and Reims haven’t lost to PSG since 2019.

PSG Injury News

Paris Saint-Germain are set to field a near full-strength lineup in Saturday’s Coupe de France final. They will treat the clash as a dress rehearsal for next week’s UEFA Champions League showdown with Inter Milan. Luis Enrique has a fully fit squad at his disposal, with Presnel Kimpembe the only notable absentee. The rest of the group trained without any issues this week.

All eyes will be on PSG attacker Ousmane Dembele, who has been enjoying the most prolific season of his career with 33 goals and 13 assists in 47 matches across all competitions. Meanwhile, striker Goncalo Ramos could be pushing for a start as he leads the club’s scoring charts with five goals in the Coupe de France.

Reims Injury News

Reims head into Saturday’s French Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain with several injury concerns. The club will be without Reda Khadra, Mohamed Daramy, and Yaya Fofana, all of whom remain sidelined. Additionally, semi-final hero Teddy Teuma, whose goal against Cannes sealed their place in the final, has not featured since that match and appears unlikely to play here.

Wingers Junya Ito and Aurelio Buta were left out of the squad that faced Metz earlier this week and their availability for this game is doubtful. The attacking threat will largely rest on the shoulders of Keito Nakamura, who is the club’s top scorer with 12 goals.

Reims Predicted Line-Up

Diouf; Sekine, Okumu, Kipre, Akieme; Patrick, Gbane, Atangana; Ito, Siebatcheu, Nakamura
