Arsenal vs Fulham Premier League Fixture – Injury News, Match Preview and Predicted Line-Ups

Moumita Dutta

Arsenal will get a boost with Bukayo Saka coming back into the squad.

Arsenal will look to narrow the gap to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table in their coming match against Fulham at the Emirates on Tuesday. The Gunners are sitting in second position with 58 points after their latest 1-0 win against Chelsea on March 16. Fulham also registered a 2-0 win against the Spurs in their last league game on the same day.

However, they are sitting in eighth place in the league table with 45 points. Coming after the international break, Marco Silva’s side have fallen for a 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. Even so, they remain in strong form in the league and are pushing for European qualification. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s defensive record at home has been inconsistent.

Arsenal have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four Premier League matches at home. Additionally, they have recently struggled against Fulham. In their last three meetings, the Gunners have failed to register any win. A defeat in this match could see third-placed Nottingham Forest close the gap on Arsenal. Though Arsenal are sitting comfortably ahead of fifth-placed Man City.

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus will continue to remain sidelined because of injuries. At the back, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Riccardo Calafiori are also yet to recover from their respective injuries. As a result, the coach could bring in Mikel Merino in the final third alongside Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard. In the engine room, Thomas Partey should start the match alongside Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice. In the defense, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, and Jurrien Timber will likely start.

Arsenal probable starting lineup:

Raya; Lewis-Skelly, Gabriel, Saliba, Timber; Rice, Partey, Odegaard; Trossard, Merino, Nwaneri

Silva’s team will look to continue their solid away form, having won five of their last six on the road.
