Phoenix Suns vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Injury Report April 9, 2025-Big Update on Kevin Durant, Ajay Mitchell’s Availability in Crucial Match Up

Garima Ranawat

Let's take a look at the injury reports of the Phoenix Suns and the Thunder.

The Phoenix Suns (35-44) will be back on the court again on Wednesday, April 9, as they host the table-toppers Oklahoma City Thunder (65-14) at the Phoenix Arena. The Suns are coming off a 133-95 defeat against the Golden State Warriors, a loss that pushed them to the brink of elimination from the NBA playoffs race.

Marking their seventh consecutive loss, the Suns are now just one defeat away from officially getting knocked out of the contention. They have been without Kevin Durant in the last four games, and needless to say his absence has affected them a lot. Since they are sitting on the edge right now, the Suns wouldn’t only want the return of the 16-time All-Star, but they would also be eyeing a miraculous win over their top-seeded counterparts.

On the other hand, the Thunder, who have already secured a playoff berth, have proved themselves as the best team of the season with a total of 65 wins. After slumping to the Nuggets and the Lakers in two back-to-back games, the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander starring side bounced back quickly and rolled past LeBron James and Co. in a 136-120 win.

This will be the third time both sides will clash against each other this season, with the Thunder dominating the Suns in the past two clashes. With the regular season coming to an end, SGA and Co. will eye ending it on a winning note.
