Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets Preview

The Phoenix Suns are coming off a 140-109, 31-point crushing loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder in their last outing. This is the Suns’ third consecutive loss; they lost their last two games against the Trail Blazers 121-119 and 127-108. The Suns have declined recently, and with them trading Jusuf Nurkic to the Hornets on Thursday, they will start Nick Richards. Kevin Durant’s availability also remains questionable; he is a game-time decision due to his left ankle sprain and will be evaluated after the game versus the Jazz. Amidst all this turmoil, Bradley Beal has scored over 20 points in three of his last four games, and he is likely to come off the bench against the Nuggets. The Suns have had a good record at home recently, winning four of their last five games and scoring 115.4 points per game while conceding 111.6 points per game.

The Denver Nuggets enter this contest on the back of a 112-90 win over the Orlando Magic, where Nikola Jokic scored a triple-double (24th of the season) with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists, while Michael Porter Jr. had another 30-point game; this is his third consecutive game scoring 30 or more points. The Nuggets are currently on a five-game winning streak; their last loss came against the Knicks 122-112 on January 30th. Jamal Murray missed the game against the Magic, but he will be back for the game against the Suns, while Russell Westbrook is ruled out for this game due to a hamstring injury and will be evaluated after one week. In their last five games, the Nuggets are averaging 125 points per game offensively and 112 points per game defensively.

Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets – Final Prediction and Additional Information

This is gonna be the third time the Suns and Nuggets face off this season.  They’ve each won once so far, with the Suns winning at home. But, the Suns have had a rough time against the Nuggets at home lately, losing three of their last four.  The Suns’ defense isn’t looking too hot right now, and their offense has been kinda hit or miss.  The Nuggets, though, have won three of their last six on the road and are on a five-game winning streak.  We’re going with the Denver Nuggets to win this one, and predict the total match points will be over 210 points and under 221 points.
