Patrick Mahomes' baseball passion was at full display last night

Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes truly showed his baseball loyalty during Game 3 of the ALDS between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees.

Known for his love of baseball, Mahomes—who also holds a 1% ownership stake in the Royals—was spotted at Kauffman Stadium sporting a customized Royals jersey with his signature “15” on the back.

His passion hit new heights as he jumped up in the stands, cheering wildly, especially during the Royals’ electrifying rally in the fifth inning.

With Kansas City down 2-0, the Royals sparked a comeback that included a clutch double by Kyle Isbel and a game-tying triple from Michael Massey.

Mahomes took the excitement to another level by playfully trash-talking his former teammate, Gehrig Dieter, who wore a Yankees jersey in honor of his namesake, the legendary Lou Gehrig.

The light-hearted exchange between the two captured the crowd’s attention, especially as Mahomes seemed thrilled to engage in the friendly rivalry with his longtime friend and ex-Chief.

Ultimately, the Yankees regained control in the eighth inning, thanks to a go-ahead home run from Giancarlo Stanton, sealing the game with a 3-2 victory.

Now, the Yankees are just one win away from advancing to the ALCS, while Patrick Mahomes and his undefeated Chiefs continue their historic season, aiming for a third consecutive Super Bowl championship
