Will Novak Djokovic win his 100th singles title and 41st Masters 1000 trophy?
The 24-time major champion, Novak Djokovic will lock horns against World No. 23 Alejandro Tabilo in the second-round of the 2025 Monte Carlo Masters. The Serbian superstar is looking for his 100th singles title and 41st Masters 1000 trophy. Djokovic faced a surprise defeat last week in the Charleston Open 2025 Final and has not won an ATP title since the year-end finals in 2023.
Alejandro Tabilo faces another veteran in the Monte Carlo Masters as he overcame three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka 1-6 7-5 7-5 in first-round. Tabilo dropped the opening set 1-6 and fans started imagining the classic Djokovic-Wawrinka meeting in the second round. But, the Chilean had a different plan and he secured his first clay court win on tour since Rome 2024.
Alejandro Tabilo, 27, will now take on the two-time winner of the Monte Carlo Masters, Novak Djokovic in the second round. Momentum is ahead with Tobilo who ended an eight-game losing streak on clay court. However, Djokovic has 20 clay court titles and also won the most recent gold medal at the Paris Olympics last year.

The head to head record between Novak Djokovic and Alejandro Tabilo stands at 1-0 in favour of the 27-year-old tennis star from Chile. Tabilo beat the 24-time Grand Slam winner in Rome 2024 en route to the semifinals.
“I just wasn’t able to find any kind of good feelings on the court, to be honest, striking the ball. I was completely off,” said Djokovic, who lost to Tabilo in straight sets in Rome 2024.

Novak Djokovic has faced Tabilo just once and it was an off-day for the Serbian star. The former World No. 1 can counter Tabilo’s fearless groundstrokes on clay court, where he has 20 titles. Djokovic has won 81% of matches played on clay courts. Although Tabilo has an edge over Djokovic in head-to-head meetings, there is a 100th title on the line for the Serbian star.
Prediction: Novak Djokovic in three sets.
