Novak Djokovic Draw Analysis and Odds – What Are Djokovic’s Odds to Win the US Open 2025?

Sankalp Harikrishnan

The Serb is chasing a record-shattering 25th major.

Former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is set to hunt down the playing field in his quest for the elusive 25th Grand Slam title at the 2025 US Open. With the tournament beginning on August 24 and the draw getting confirmed, the Serbian icon has been informed of his path to the record-breaking crown. While Djokovic has some initial tests to overcome, his real challenges will start in the second week.

Having won the titles at Flushing Meadows on four previous occasions (2011, 2015, 2018, 2023), the seventh seed is always a contender for the men’s championship. Last year, Djokovic was dumped out of the tournament in Round-3 by Australian sensation Alexei Popyrin. As a result, the 2025 edition of the competition presents a perfect opportunity for ‘Nole’ to silence his critics.

Here is the draw analysis and pre-tournament odds for 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic:

Novak Djokovic Draw Analysis

Djokovic is the No. 7 seed at the 2025 US Open. Placed in the same quarter as fourth seed and reigning finalist Taylor Fritz, the Serb has a bittersweet path to the final. He will begin his campaign against American southpaw Learner Tien, who is making waves on tour at the moment. It will be the first career meeting between the two stars. To round off the first week, Djokovic could face a qualifier in Round-2, and one of the home favourites in the form of Alex Michelsen or Sebastian Korda in Round-3.

Provided the Djoker makes it through to the second week, a mouth-watering clash against either No. 11 seed Holger Rune or two-time USO semifinalist Frances Tiafoe is on the cards. This will be an interesting challenge for the Serbian, particularly against the American who thrives on night session conditions in New York. While powerhouse American Taylor Fritz is slated to be his quarterfinal opponent, don’t sleep on Czechia’s youngest prodigy Jakub Mensik. The 19-year-old has a phenomenal hard court game, and already defeated Djokovic in the Miami Open final earlier this year.

Unsurprisingly, Djokovic is possibly going to have to overhaul the two biggest names in men’s tennis to lift the crown. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner could be the World No. 7’s opponents in the semifinal and final, respectively. While Djokovic leads the head-to-head record against Alcaraz by 5-3, the Sinner challenge seems to be chink in his armor. The Italian top seed is on a five-match winning run vs the 38-year-old elder-statesman, and hasn’t dropped a set against him in their past three encounters.

Novak Djokovic Odds to Win the US Open 2025

Djokovic holds the third position in terms of the pre-tournament favourites to win the 2025 US Open men’s singles title. On the outright winners list, it is Sinner and Alcaraz who have a slight edge over the Serbian legend. However, Djokovic is still an outer favourite to capture the crown.

Novak Djokovic Odds to Win the Title: 9/1
