Newcastle Agree Club-Record £64m Deal for Stuttgart Forward Nick Woltemade

Newcastle United have won the race to sign Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade after agreeing a club-record £64m deal for the Germany international.

The 23-year-old will travel to the North East on Thursday night ahead of his medical on Friday, with the Magpies set to pay £60m up front plus £4m in add-ons. The move eclipses the £63m fee Newcastle paid for Alexander Isak in 2022.

Beating Bayern to the punch for Woltemade

Woltemade had been the subject of sustained interest from Bayern Munich, who saw multiple offers rejected earlier this summer. However, the forward was reportedly keen to test himself in the Premier League and work under Eddie Howe, a decisive factor that tilted negotiations in Newcastle’s favour.
