Are the Saints Eyeing Matt Nagy?

Since parting ways with Dennis Allen midseason, the New Orleans Saints have been on the hunt for a new head coach heading into the 2025 NFL offseason. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Saints are closely monitoring Matt Nagy, the former head coach of the Chicago Bears and current offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs.

While Nagy’s tenure in Chicago was less than stellar, he currently oversees the Chiefs’ offense, though it hasn’t been the powerhouse of the team’s back-to-back championship seasons. Despite this, the Saints seem intrigued by Nagy’s potential.

Meanwhile, interim head coach Darren Rizzi is also in the mix to secure the job permanently, much like the Raiders did with Antonio Pierce last season.

Mike Vrabel in High Demand

As Black Monday approaches—a notorious day of coaching turnover in the NFL—rumors about Mike Vrabel’s future are heating up. The former Tennessee Titans head coach has become one of the most sought-after figures in the league.

So much so that some teams are reportedly considering firing their current head coaches if it means they can land Vrabel. Already linked to the New York Jets and Chicago Bears, Vrabel is expected to receive more offers in the coming days.

However, the former Titans coach has made his conditions clear: he wants a healthy, direct relationship with team management and a quarterback he either chooses himself or can comfortably build around.

Bengals Focused on Retaining Their Offensive Core

The Cincinnati Bengals may not have had a flawless 2024 season, but their explosive offense remains one of the league’s most formidable. According to Ian Rapoport, the team is intent on keeping its offensive trio of Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins together.

Doing so will require significant financial investment. Tee Higgins, who played under the franchise tag in 2024, has yet to sign a long-term deal. Ja’Marr Chase is still on his rookie contract but is expected to command a hefty payday when it comes time for his first major NFL deal, given his immense value to the team.

If the Bengals can retain their offensive weapons and bolster their defense, they could remain a serious contender for years to come.
