The Sunday games of week 5 got underway with the Cleveland Browns taking on the Minnesota Vikings in London, UK, as part of the NFL’s international series game. The Vikings pulled off a 21-17 win in what was rookie Dillon Gabriel’s first career start under center. Here is a look at all the NFL Sunday results that took place in week 5.

Broncos Overcome 14-Point Deficit in the Fourth Quarter to Defeat the Eagles

With just the Eagles and the Bills as the last two teams remaining to be undefeated entering week 5, Philadelphia became the first one to fall following a 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos at home. Carrying a 2 touchdown lead into the fourth quarter, the Eagles looked all but destined to win.

Unfortunately, a couple of rather costly penalties at the wrong time allowed the Broncos to take advantage and get back in the game. Saquon Barkley’s production as a runner was limited to just 30 yards on 6 attempts, but Jalen Hurts had his best game of the season as a passer, finishing with 280 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Second-year starter Bo Nix earned probably the biggest win of his short career so far, and did so by throwing for 242 yards and a touchdown. Cortland Sutton had 8 receptions for 99 yards in the Broncos’ come-from-behind win.

Ravens Succumb to 34-Point Loss to the Texans

The story in Baltimore was the lack of starters, especially on the defensive side of the ball for the Ravens. C.J. Stroud took full advantage as he threw for 4 touchdowns in a lopsided 44-10 win.

The Ravens came into the game with a severely depleted roster that included quarterback Lamar Jackson missing out due to a hamstring injury, while the defense was without top players such as Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, and Marlon Humphrey. Baltimore is already without Nnamdi Madubuike for the season due to a neck problem.

Stroud finished the game with 244 passing yards along with his 4 touchdowns, whereas Christian Kirk and Dalton Schultz each had 60 or more receiving yards. On the other hand, backup quarterback Cooper Rush struggled mightily with just 179 passing yards and 3 picks. Dereck Henry was also limited to just 33 yards from 15 carries.

Patriots Pull Off a Stunner to Defeat the Bills

After the Eagles’ loss earlier in the day, the Bills remained the last undefeated team in the league. Going up against AFC East divisional rivals, the New England Patriots, the Bills fell in a closely-contested Sunday Night Football (SNF) game that went 23-20 in favor of the Patriots.

After just three field goals in the entire first half, the second half produced more points by both teams, but New England was able to hold on for a big win as Drake Maye finished with 273 passing yards. Rhamondre Stevenson had 2 rushing touchdowns, while wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ return to Orchard Park was full of fireworks, finishing with 10 catches for 146 yards.

For Buffalo, it was more or less the Josh Allen show once again. He had 253 passing yards and 2 touchdowns along with a pick, as Dalton Kincaid finished with 108 receiving yards from 6 receptions. James Cook was limited to just 49 rushing yards in 15 games.

New Orleans Saints Get First Win of the Season over the Giants

The New Orleans Saints entered their week 5 matchup against the New York Giants with a 0-4 record. However, they were able to finally overcome an 8-game losing streak dating back to last season with a 26-14 win at home.

The turnover battle was a major component of the game as the Giants had 5 turnovers to 0 for the Saints. Jaxson Dart, starting only his second game under center, threw 2 interceptions and lost a fumble, while the Saints turned the ball over 2 more times on 2 fumbles.

Spencer Rattler had 225 passing yards and a touchdown, while Rashid Shaheed had 114 receiving yards and a touchdown for the Saints.

Calvin Ridley Shines in Titans First Win of the Season

The Tennessee Titans joined the other 30 teams to lose their winless tag for the season, leaving only the New York Jets as the only team to not win a game thus far. The Titans put up 16 points in the fourth quarter to come from behind in a 22-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

This win also handed the 2025 NFL Draft’s number one overall pick Cam Ward his first win of his professional career. Ward finished with 265 yards with no touchdowns, but 1 pick. Calvin Ridley was the pick of the receivers, with 5 catches for 131 yards.
