The NFL has revealed its “Player of the Month” honorees for November 2024, and it’s a momentous occasion for two standout players—Joe Burrow and Saquon Barkley.

Joe Burrow: AFC Player of the Month

Joe Burrow, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, has earned the AFC “Player of the Month” title for the first time in his career. Despite the Bengals’ overall struggles this season, Burrow’s individual performances throughout November were exceptional, both statistically and on the field.

During the month, Burrow completed 89 of 145 pass attempts (61.4%) for 1,035 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only one interception, culminating in an impressive passer rating of 107.7. On the ground, he added 45 rushing yards over three games. His stellar passing game saw him lead the NFL in average yards per game (345) and tie for the most passing touchdowns (12) during the period.

This accolade makes Burrow only the second Bengals player in the past decade to win the AFC “Player of the Month” award, following in the footsteps of Andy Dalton, who received the honor in October 2015.

Burrow was recognized alongside cornerback Pat Surtain II and kicker Jason Sanders, rounding out the AFC’s top performers for November.

Saquon Barkley: NFC Player of the Month

In the NFC, Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles earned his first-ever “Player of the Month” award. The running back delivered a historic performance that cemented his place among the league’s elite players.

Barkley led the NFL in November with 626 rushing yards and a staggering 777 total yards from scrimmage.

He also topped the NFC with six total touchdowns. His standout performances included a career-best 302 total yards in Week 12, the ninth-highest single-game total in NFL history.

In Week 11, he followed up with 198 total yards, joining Hall of Famers Walter Payton (1977) and Ollie Matson (1954) as the only players in NFL history to surpass 500 total yards across two consecutive games.

Barkley’s award marks him as the second Eagles running back to claim this distinction, with the first being LeSean McCoy in December 2013. He was recognized alongside defensive lineman Jonathan Greenard and special teams standout Jake Bates as the NFC’s top players for November.
