This hot run has them firmly in the playoff hunt, eyeing their first division title since 2015.

Key victories highlights their grit this season. Just yesterday, on November 16, they edged their rival Kansas City Chiefs 22-19 at home, thanks to Wil Lutz’s game-winning 25-yard field goal as time expired, snapping KC’s nine-year division dominance. A couple of weeks earlier, in Week 5 on October 5, they stunned the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles 21-17 on the road, rallying from a 14-point deficit with a dominant fourth quarter to hand Philly its first loss.

Colin Cowherd and John Middlekauff Reacts to the Denver Broncos Taking Down the Chiefs

NFL analyst Colin Cowherd has been very impressed with what the Denver Broncos have achieved this season and said, “So the Broncos are now 9-2. For the first time in 9 weeks, they scored on their opening drive. And it was as if Bo (Nix) and Sean found a rhythm.”

John Middlekauff added “The Broncos, they’re gonna be in a position. Now they’re in the driver’s seat to get the No.1 seed. Cuz the Colts, are they gonna just keep rattling off wins? I think the Broncos, if you look at their schedule. It’s pretty easy. I do believe if they could get home field advantage, it’s gonna be a very, very tough place for opposing teams to come in with that defense. They just need Bo Nix to play like today. No turnovers. We don’t need 3,4 touchdowns a game.”

Can the Broncos Lock In the No.1 Seed at AFC West?

The Broncos play the Commanders, Raiders, Packers, Jaguars, Chiefs, and Chargers, respectively. They are 2 games ahead of the Chargers, 4 games ahead of the Chiefs. They have a sizable lead over their divisional rivals and their favorable schedule makes us believe that they should be able to hold on to the top spot.

Obviously any major injuries could change that immediately, but if the Broncos’ defense holds like they have and if their offense can produce enough, No.1 seed should easily be theirs.
