NFL 2026–27 Las Vegas Raiders Regular Season Over/under Odds for Total Wins – Best Early Odds and Predictions for 2026–27 NFL Season

Devavrat Kulkarni

The Las Vegas Raiders came into the 2025 NFL season on the back of just 4 wins from the previous year. With the 6th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Raiders selected running back Ashton Jeanty and added quarterback Geno Smith via a trade with the Seattle Seahawks to bolster their offense.

The AFC West franchise also made a coaching change by bringing in former Super Bowl winner and veteran Pete Carroll as the new head coach. Along with several other changes to the roster, Vegas looked to remain relevant in a division growing in competition.

Despite starting the season on the right note with a Week 1 win over the Patriots, things went downhill quickly after that. The Raiders went on a 10-game losing streak from Week 7 to Week 17 and finished last in the league in scoring offense with just over 14 points per game. Vegas was also bottom 5 with a -7 turnover differential.

In any case, that was last season, and moving ahead, the Raiders have already made a significant change. Former head coach Pete Carroll was let go after just one season, and in his place now comes former Seahawks’ Offensive Coordinator, Klint Kubiak, as they begin afresh once again.

Following a couple of disappointing seasons on the trot, the Raiders are in need of an overhaul of the roster. While they have certain quality players such as Maxx Crosby, Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and others, the team is just not ready to challenge even in the AFC West.

On top of that, the team will have to undergo another season of scheme changes on both sides of the ball. The situation under center is also uncertain, as starting quarterback Geno Smith was turnover-prone, and the offense lacked any rhythm last year. Finding a quick solution this season may not be so easy.

Similarly, the defense needs to take a big step up as well. Apart from Maxx Crosby, who once again finished with double-digit sacks, the defense was not up to the mark. What is not working in Vegas’ favor is their strength of schedule, which ranks as the 7th most difficult for the upcoming season. Listed below are the Raiders’ opponents for the 2026-27 NFL season.

  • Denver Broncos
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • New Orleans Saints

Just a quick glance at the Raiders’ schedule shows that Vegas will be facing a daunting task ahead. The Broncos and the Chargers both made the playoffs last season, which means 4 of their games within the division will be against playoff caliber teams. Moreover, the Chiefs may have had a down year, but they have been regular postseason contenders for the past decade.

The Raiders are set to face even more quality teams, such as the Bills, Rams, Seahawks, Patriots, and the 49ers, all of whom made the postseason and have well-balanced units on offense and defense.

Having said that, some of the more favorable matchups could be against teams like the Titans, Browns, Saints, Cardinals, Dolphins, and the Jets. Although there is plenty to be done in the offseason, at the moment, it looks like the Raiders could struggle again this season.

Las Vegas Raiders Major Injuries and Concerns going into 2026-27 NFL Season

Injuries

As per the latest information, the Raiders do not have too many pressing concerns when it comes to injuries. However, two players whose health the Raiders will be monitoring closely are those of defensive end Maxx Crosby and tight end Brock Bowers.

Crosby, who is by far the most important player for the Raiders on defense, underwent a meniscus surgery towards the end of the 2025 season. The disruptive player seems to be on track for a full recovery by June, but this is one to keep an eye out for.

As for Bowers, he suffered a knee injury near the end of last season. Bowers is the focal point of the Raiders’ pass offense, especially given that the receiving room lacks quality. Although he should be ready to go for training camp, his injury is also a critical one for the Raiders’ hopes in the new season.

Roster concerns

For the Raiders, there are plenty of needs on both sides of the ball as they aim to improve their roster. First and foremost, the question of who will play under center in the upcoming season continues to linger. Geno Smith’s underwhelming performance from last season has cast a severe doubt on his future as the starter.

Sticking with the offense, the Raiders’ receiver room lacks quality. Tre Tucker finished as the team’s best receiver last season with just 696 yards and 57 receptions. The next best receiver was Jakobi Meyers with only 352 receiving yards, but he was traded mid-season to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Additionally, the Raiders will need to look for improvements to the offensive line, which was a disaster last season. Better quality and more depth are the need of the hour. And last, but not least, Ashton Jeanty could use help in the backfield, as he was a one-man show last season, limiting the Raiders’ run game to a large extent.

On the defensive side of things, one of the biggest changes will be the change in scheme to a 3-4 defensive base. That means the roster could see a shakeup as the relevant players are added and others are cut. Other needs on the defense include upgrading the linebacker and cornerback rooms.

Las Vegas Raiders NFL 2026-27 Draft Picks and how they can have an impact on the Total Over/Under Wins Odds

At present, the Raiders hold at least 8 draft picks in the upcoming 2026 NFL draft. More importantly though, they hold the first overall pick through which they are widely expected to draft former Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza as their next franchise QB.

Apart from that, the Raiders currently hold at least one draft pick in each of the following rounds. Due to their record being the worst last season, they have the advantage of picking at the start of most of the rounds.

Overall, the Raiders are expected to have the opportunity to draft some top talent, but even then, it would be far-fetched to believe that it would have too much impact on their odds to win several more games.
