As teams continue to shuffle around the playoff seeding possibilities, entering Week 12, the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots are atop the AFC standings with 9 wins and 2 losses each. On the NFC side of things, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams lead the way with 8 wins and 2 losses each.
Suddenly, the Detroit Lions now find themselves out of the playoffs if the season were to end today. Thankfully, for many such teams, there are still a handful of games left, and anything can happen between now and then.
That said, here are the playoff chances for all teams ahead of Week 12 as per the official NFL website.
As mentioned previously, the Broncos, Patriots, Eagles, and Rams have the best records in the AFC and NFC, respectively. And, as expected, all four teams have the highest probability of making the playoffs.
In the AFC, the Bills and the Colts are next with 93% and 90% chances, respectively, while the Jaguars, Chargers, and the Steelers occupy the final playoff spots with 64%, 60%, and 39% chances.
In the NFC, the Seahawks, Buccaneers, and the 49ers each have a 91%, 85%, and 85% chance, respectively, of progression to the postseason. The Packers and Bears currently hold the final two spots with 73% and 59% chances.

In the AFC, three teams are still in the hunt for the playoffs and have decent chances to get in, but multiple factors will have to come into play. The Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Baltimore Ravens all currently hold a 5-5 record, but the Texans occupy the number 8 spot as they have won more games within their division.

nfl I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
