NFL 2025–26 Week 11 NFC Playoff Chances – Seahawks and Lions Move Ahead of the Bucs As Eagles Continue to Hold the Top Spot in the NFC

Devavrat Kulkarni

The NFC West and the NFC North has some exciting battles ahead with several teams vying for the playoff spots!

Things in the NFC are heating up with plenty of teams in the mix to make a run to the playoffs. Much like the AFC, there are several teams nearly out of contention in the NFC as well. However, the competition is quite fierce this time around as teams like the Seahawks, Buccaneers, and the Bears are performing better than last season.

Along with the Seahawks and Bears, the Lions, Eagles, and the Rams earned crucial wins in Week 10. On the other hand, the Buccaneers, Vikings, 49ers, and Packers all suffered losses critical to their pursuit of the postseason.

That said, here are the playoff chances for the NFC teams ahead of Week 11 as per the official NFL website.

NFC Teams to Make the Playoffs As per Current Standings

Ahead of Week 11, the current NFC Playoff Chances are as follows. The Eagles (7-2), who hold the number 1 seed in the conference, already have a 99% chance of making it to the postseason. They are nearly 4 games ahead of the Cowboys and Commanders in their division.

Next up, the 7-2 Rams, who are second in the NFC West, actually hold a 97% chance of progressing, whereas the 7-2 Seahawks, who lead the division, have a 94% chance of making the postseason.

The 6-3 Buccaneers and Lions are next with a 91% and an 87% percent chance, respectively, of progressing to the playoffs, whereas the last two spots are currently occupied by the Packers (5-3-1) with a 70% chance, and the Bears (6-3) with a 40% chance.

The table below represents the NFC playoff picture if the season ended today.

NFC Teams in Contention for the Wild Card Spots

The San Francisco 49ers, with a 6-4 record, are currently just outside the final spot for the playoffs, but they still have an 80% chance of getting in. After the 49ers, things start to get really bleak in the NFC.

The 4-5 Vikings and the 5-5 Panthers come next with 14% and 12% chance, respectively. Then come the 3-6 Atlanta Falcons with a 7% chance, followed by the 3-5-1 Cowboys with a 5% chance.

The table below represents the NFC teams still in contention

NFC Teams Nearly out of Playoff Contention

The Arizona Cardinals are currently 3-6, and technically, they could still make it to the postseason. But they are so far behind the other teams in their division that it would take a miracle.

That leaves us with the 3-7 Commanders, along with the 2-8 Giants and Saints, as the three teams that realistically have next to no chance of making the playoffs this season.

The NFC West and the NFC North have three teams each that are fighting for playoff contention. Moving ahead, it will be exciting to see how these divisions shape up and which teams actually go on to the playoffs.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
