As the 2025 NFL season kicks off, anticipation is sky-high after a thrilling 2024 campaign where we saw the Philadelphia Eagles dominate the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, cementing their status as the team to beat, going into the 2025 season. Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley led a relentless offensive onslaught, destroying the Chiefs’ hopes who were chasing a three-peat. The Eagles’ dominance, driven by an excellent offense, and an impenetrable defense, has set the stage for a very competitive NFC race.
The 2025 NFL offseason brought in shifts that could reshape the conference. Blockbuster trades like Micah Parson’s move from Dallas to Green Bay, have helped the Packers’ defense, with some pundits claiming that the Packers could now go much deeper into the playoffs than what most expected them to. However, this has left the Cowboys scrambling despite what their owner, Jerry Jones, may have said about their chances going into the 2025 season. On the other hand we have the Commanders’ aggressive acquisition of Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuels, signaling their intent to challenge Philly’s reign, building around Jayden Daniels’ breakout year.
The Pittsburgh Steelers managed to add a couple of household names, including cornerback Jalen Ramsey, D.K. Metcalf, and of course who can forget about Aaron Rodgers. These moves, alongside Tampa Bay’s continued NFC South dominance, San Francisco’s expected bounce-back season with a healthier roster, promises a very chaotic NFC landscape.
When the playoffs finally do arrive, the question is: can the Eagles repeat, or will a contender steal the title away from them? We will soon find out.
NFC East Predictions
The Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off their Super Bowl LIX victory over the Chiefs, are favored to repeat as NFC East champs in 2025. Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are still a formidable duo, while Vic Fangio’s defense still remains elite despite losing some of the pieces that helped them secure the championship last season. Their tough schedule could test them, but their roster depth makes them the team to beat.

The Washington Commanders, led by Jayden Daniels’ immediate impact in his rookie year, are serious contenders, after reaching the NFC Championship last season. Their offseason addition has surely bolstered their roster, but defensive questions and a brutal schedule might hinder their chances to take the crown. While they are a great threat, they may ultimately end up falling short to the Eagles.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys could rebound with a healthy Dak Prescott and a new weapon like George Pickens but trading Micah Parsons to Green Bay definitely hurts their chances. The New York Giants with addition of Russell Wilson and a rookie QB in Jaxson Dart, face a brutal schedule and a lot of questions going into the 2025 season, likely finishing last again but improving on a terrible 3-14 record that they put up in 2024.

NFC West Predictions
The NFC West is a battleground for the 2025 season, with the Los Angeles Rams favored to repeat as division champs. Matthew Stafford’s health is arguably going to be the biggest factor for the Rams’ success, but Davante Adams’ addition will fill in for any void that Cooper Kupp may have left.
The San Francisco 49ers, healthier with their star running back Christian McCaffrey set to take the field once more, are expected to have a rebound season in 2025. As the saying goes, “Availability is the best ability,” and if that holds true for the 49ers, the could very well challenge the Rams for the division crown.
Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals, led by Kyler Murray, could surprise the rest of the league with defensive upgrades like Josh Sweat, but their tough schedule could ultimately decide where they land this time. And finally the Seattle Seahawks, who added Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp to their roster, which should help improve their offense. However, their struggle with offensive line issues makes us question where they will ultimately land in their division.

NFC North Predictions
The NFC North is set for a fierce 2025 battle, with the Green Bay Packers emerging as the slight favorites to claim the division crown. Jordan Love’s growth, alongside the blockbuster acquisition of Micah Parson from the Dallas Cowboys, will most likely help improve their defense, giving them an edge despite a tough schedule.
The Detroit Lions, coming off of a impressive 2024 campaign, remain contenders with Jared Goff leading their offense, but defensive inconsistencies and an extremely tough schedule (tied with second toughest schedule in the league) could see them slip to second place this season.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears, led by Caleb Williams’ promising sophomore year, shows a lot of potential bringing in a couple of notable signings to improve their horrible pass protection from the 2024 season. Despite bringing in an excellent offensive minded coach like Ben Johnson, their inexperience is still the topic of discussion with some pundits questioning Caleb Williams’ reliability.
The Minnesota Vikings decided to part ways with Sam Darnold in the offseason and are placing their hope on quarterback J.J. McCarthy to lead them in the 2025 campaign. With McCarthy still developing and inexperienced, along with a grueling schedule, the Vikings may fall off from an incredible record they posted last season.

NFC South Predictions
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are poised to repeat as NFC South division champions in 2025. Baker Mayfield’s consistency and a bolstered offensive line should help keep their attack on the same level or even better this upcoming season. The Buccaneers also have a favorable schedule and strong home performances should help them secure the division crown for five consecutive seasons.
The Atlanta Falcons with Michael Felix Jr. as their QB1 and Bijan Robinson’s 1456 rushing yards, make them a definite contender, but their cohesion and consistency, particularly on defense, makes us wonder if they are ready to take the next step.
Now that Derek Carr has retired from the NFL, the New Orleans Saints face a quarterback void with unproven options in Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener, who went 0-7 in games Carr didn’t start last season.
Lastly, the Carolina Panthers, whose quarterback Bryce Young has had a rough start to his NFL career with a 6-24 record. However, he showed growth in the last 10 games in 2024. Despite the QB growth, the Panthers’ lack of depth in terms of talent, and a brutal schedule, including games against Buffalo and Green Bay, could put them in a similar spot they were in last season.
