The Cowboys return to MetLife Stadium, but this time they face the Jets in week 5
The New York Jets play at home in week 5 as they go up against the Dallas Cowboys. This matchup pits the winless Jets against the 1-2-1 Cowboys. The early afternoon game on Sunday is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey.
| Recommended Bets | FanDuel | BetMGM |
|---|---|---|
| Dak Prescott 225+ Yards | -168 | -210 |
| George Pickens Anytime TD | +100 | +105 |
| Total points over 47.5 | -104 | -104 |
Dak Prescott has thrown for over 250 yards in all three of his previous games. The only game he threw for less was in week 1, but that was against the defensively sound Philadelphia Eagles. The Jets’ defense is also averaging around 200 yards per game.
George Pickens to score a touchdown seems like a strong possibility based on the fact that he already has 4 touchdowns from 4 games. Additionally, with CeeDee Lamb’s ankle injury, Pickens will once again be the top target. Last week, he produced 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The Cowboys are averaging 28.5 points per game, whereas the Jets are averaging 22.5 per game; however, defensively, both teams are allowing 30 or more points. Thus, this game has a possibility of being a high-scoring one.

The Jets started the season showing plenty of promise despite losing a close game to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately, though, a big loss to the Bills, and two one-score losses to the Bucs and Dolphins, means they are winless through 4 weeks.
As for the Cowboys, they have had a so-so start to their season, showing flashes of brilliance at times. While Dallas’ offense is finding ways to put plenty of points on the board, the defense has been allowing plenty themselves. They defeated the Giants for their only win after a 40-37 win in OT, while holding the Packers to a tie after a 40-40 end in OT last week.

Neither the Jets nor the Cowboys have been at the top of their game on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, however, Dallas has put up 40 points twice on the Giants and the Packers. Moreover, Dallas is getting excellent production from its pass catchers, a testament to Prescott’s 1,119 passing yards in just 4 games.
