The New York Giants had a brutal season in 2024, finishing the season with just 3-14 record, which was dead last in the NFC East. The Giants were so bad that they tied the record for the franchise-worst season with 2017 and 1974. They lost their franchise cornerstone in Saquon Barkley and decided to keep QB Daniel Jones instead. This move by the Giants will probably give them nightmares for years to come, as Barkley had one of the greatest seasons for an RB playing for the Eagles and helped Philly win the Super Bowl.

How did the Giants perform in the 2024 season?

The 2024 season marked the New York Giants’ 100th anniversary but there was no cause for celebration. They went from being bad in 2023, 6-11 in the regular season, to rock bottom under head coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen. They started of the 2024 season 2-3, winning against the Browns and the Seahawks, and never recovered. In fact the Giants went on a 0-10 losing streak and before winning against the Colts.

The Giants were ranked 30th in total offense and 24th in total defense. After all of the winning the franchise had in the past, they haven’t been the same since Eli Manning left the team. Being one of the biggest markets in the NFL, you would expect the Giants to be way better than they currently are. They are horrible offensively, atrocious on the defensive end, and surprisingly, even the Jets are better than them currently.

What moves will the Giants make in the offseason and will they improve from an embarrassing 3-14 record next season? We don’t know yet, but we can tell you what their schedule looks like next season.

New York Giants’ 2025 NFL Draft Picks

The Giants had 7 draft picks in the 2025 NFL draft, but more importantly, they held the 3rd overall pick. In the first round, New York selected the best edge rusher in this class, Abdul Carter. There were several reports indicating that the Giants may draft quarterback Shedeur Sanders as well, but New York decided on Jaxon Dart with their second pick.
