Kevin Stefanski served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns for the past 6 seasons. After yet another disappointing season, the Browns decided to part ways with their coach. Despite making the postseason just twice in 6 years, Stefanski earned the Coach of the Year award two times, making him a strong candidate for the job.

Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has been out of the NFL coaching duties for the past year and is still one of the favorites for multiple head coach openings across the league. McCarthy had two great stints as a head coach, the first one with the Green Bay Packers, where he led the team to a Super Bowl win, and the second with the Cowboys.
Jeff Hafley is the current defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, a position he has held since 2024. This season, the Packers ranked top ten in scoring defense, allowing just a shade over 20 points per game. They also ranked in the top ten in multiple other categories on defense, such as total yards allowed and more.
The Packers over the 2 years Hafley has been in charge became one of the league’s top pass rushing teams and also rank top 5 in EPA/play overall and against the pass.
Kliff Kingsbury was the offensive coordinator with the Washington Commanders for the past couple of seasons. He left the job at the end of the 2025 regular season on a mutual understanding with the team.
Kingsbury is often credited for improving several top quarterbacks in the league, such as Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, Kyler Murray, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and others.

nfl I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
