Bhambri and Venus, meanwhile, only teamed up in July but have been on a rapid rise. They reached the quarterfinals in Washington and the semifinals in Winston-Salem before catching fire in New York. Their campaign has included wins over Marcus Giron and Learner Tien, alternates Gonzalo Escobar and Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela, and a statement upset of fourth seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz.

In the quarters, they edged 11th seeds Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram in a tight finish. Bhambri, who won his first ATP doubles crown in 2023, has added titles in Dubai and Mallorca, while Venus brings a proven Slam record as a 2017 French Open champion and 2020 Olympic bronze medalist.
