Sion James
Sion James, born on December 4, 2002, in Sugar Hill, Georgia, USA, is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in) tall and weighs 100 kg (220 lb) and plays as a point guard. James began his collegiate basketball career at Tulane University, where he played from 2020 to 2024. During his last season at Tulane, he averaged 14 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, in addition to winning the AAC Sportsmanship Award. After this season, he entered the NCAA transfer portal. In May 2024, James transferred to Duke University, where he played the 2024–2025 season. At Duke, he averaged 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. In the 2025 NBA draft, Sion James was selected in the second round as the 33rd overall pick by the Charlotte Hornets. He began his professional career with the Hornets in 2025 and continues to play for them.
