Patrick Baldwin Jr.
Patrick O’Neal Baldwin Jr., born on November 18, 2002, in Evanston, Illinois, is an American professional basketball player who plays as a small forward/power forward. He grew up in Evanston until 8th grade and played on various basketball teams, including the FAAM League. In 2017, his family moved to Wisconsin when his father became the head coach of men’s basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Baldwin attended the University of Milwaukee, where, as a freshman, he averaged 12.1 points and 5.8 rebounds in an injury-plagued season. On April 22, 2022, he declared for the NBA draft, forgoing his remaining college eligibility. In the 2022 NBA draft, Baldwin was selected as the 28th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors. He played for the Warriors and their G-League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors, during the 2022-2023 season. On December 21, 2022, he achieved a career-high 17 points in a loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Subsequently, he scored 11 points in a victory over the Utah Jazz. In 2023, Baldwin was traded to the Washington Wizards, where he currently plays, splitting time with the Capital City Go-Go, their G-League affiliate team. In 2025, he is scheduled to play for the San Diego / Los Angeles Clippers. His father, Pat Baldwin, was a prominent college basketball player at Northwestern and also served as a coach. His mother, Shawn, played volleyball at Northwestern. Patrick Baldwin Jr. also represented the United States in the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup in Latvia.
