Nikola Jokić
Nikola Jokić, born on February 19, 1995, in Sombor, Serbia, Yugoslavia, grew up in a two-bedroom apartment with his two brothers, parents, and grandmother. He is of Serbian nationality and is widely considered the best passing center in basketball history. Jokić did not attend college, jokingly saying he attended Harvard. Instead, he was a “draft-and-stash” prospect, meaning he was drafted by an NBA team but continued to play for a European club before joining the NBA. He played for Mega Bemax in the Adriatic League before making his NBA debut. Nikola Jokić was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft as the 41st overall pick.
