Nate Williams
Nate Williams, full name Jeenathan Williams Jr., was born on February 12, 1999, in Rochester, New York, USA. He is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard/small forward. Williams attended University Prep Charter in Rochester, New York, and Prolific Prep in Napa, California. He was a four-star recruit and committed to play college basketball for the University of Buffalo, becoming the highest-ranked recruit in the university’s history. During his college career at Buffalo (2018-2022), Williams excelled. He declared for the 2021 NBA draft but withdrew to return to Buffalo. In his last college season, on November 10, 2021, he scored a career-high 32 points and eight rebounds in an 88-76 loss to Michigan. Williams was named to the First-Team All-MAC. After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, Williams joined the Utah Jazz for the 2022 NBA Summer League. In his professional career, he has played for the Salt Lake City Stars (2022-2023), Portland Trail Blazers (2023), and currently plays for the Houston Rockets (2023-2025). On April 1, 2023, Williams signed a 2-year, $1.7 million contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, making his NBA debut the following day and scoring 7 points in a 107-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is 1.96m tall (6 ft 5 in) and weighs 93 kg (205 lb).
