Marques Bolden
Marques Terrell Bolden, born on April 17, 1998, in Dallas, Texas, USA, is an American-Indonesian professional basketball player. He holds dual American and Indonesian nationality. Bolden, listed at 2.08 m (6 ft 10 in) and 113 kg (249 lb), plays as a center and shoots right-handed. He attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas. Bolden’s college career was at Duke University, where he played for the Duke Blue Devils from 2016 to 2019. During his freshman year in 2016-17, he appeared in 24 games (1 as a starter), averaging 1.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks in 6.5 minutes per game. In his sophomore season (2017-18), he played in 29 games (2 as a starter), averaging 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.0 block in 12.9 minutes. His most productive college season was as a junior in 2018-19, where he played in 35 games (21 as a starter). In 19.1 minutes per game, he averaged 5.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks, contributing significantly to the Blue Devils’ performance. After his junior year, Bolden announced his entry into the 2019 NBA draft. Despite his strong college career, he was not drafted in 2019. However, his professional playing career began in 2019 and continues to the present. He made his NBA debut on February 1, 2020. In recent news, Marques Bolden joined the Golden State Warriors for the 2024 and 2025 NBA Summer Leagues. He is currently a free agent. During the last 2023–24 NBA season, he recorded a personal best with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, and 1 steal in 30 minutes in a game against the Cavaliers. On July 3, he was waived by the Hornets. Throughout his professional career, he has played for several teams, including Salt Lake, Wisconsin, and Greensboro, achieving career averages of 12.5 PPG, 1.2 APG, and 3.3 RPG in recent seasons. He consistently showed a strong field goal percentage, with a career average of 0.550 in the 2022-23 to 2023-24 G-League seasons.
