Lamont Butler, born on June 9, 2002, in Moreno Valley, California, USA, is an American professional basketball player. At 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) and weighing 93 kg (205 lb), Butler plays as a point guard. Butler’s collegiate career was marked by his impactful performances for both the San Diego State Aztecs (2020–2024) and the Kentucky Wildcats (2024–2025). During his time at San Diego State, he was a key player, notably leading the team to a spot in the 2023 National Championship game. His defensive prowess was recognized with multiple honors, including the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2024 and three selections to the All-Defensive Mountain West Team (2022–2024).
