Kevon Lavelle Harris, born on June 24, 1997, is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on a two-way contract with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League. Harris attended Stephen F. Austin for his college basketball career from 2016 to 2020. During his junior season, he averaged 17.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steal per game, which earned him a spot on the All-Southland Conference second team. He also reached the significant milestone of surpassing 1,000 career points during that season. Initially, Harris declared for the 2019 NBA draft but ultimately opted to return to Stephen F. Austin for his senior year. In his senior season, Harris continued to excel, ending the regular season by being named the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Year and to the All-Southland Conference first team. He finished fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 17.5 points per game, along with 5.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Despite his impressive college career, Harris went undrafted in the 2020 NBA draft. However, his professional career began in 2020, and he has been playing in the NBA and NBA G League ever since.
