Jules Bernard
Jules Bernard was born on January 21, 2000, in Los Angeles, California. He is a 6’6″ (1.98 m) guard and weighs 210 lb (95 kg). Bernard attended Windward School in Los Angeles for high school. As a junior, he showcased his talent with averages of 25.3 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. He continued to excel in his senior season, averaging 26.4 points and 14.2 rebounds per game. He also competed for Compton Magic on the Amateur Athletic Union circuit, further honing his skills. He then played college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2018 to 2022. In his freshman year (2018-19), he averaged 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 17.2 minutes per game. His sophomore season (2019-20) saw him average 5.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 16.2 minutes. Bernard’s performance significantly improved in his junior year (2020-21), where he averaged 10.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 29.3 minutes, starting 28 of 32 games. In his senior season (2021-22), he continued to be a key player for UCLA, averaging a career-high 12.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 30.1 minutes per game, starting 34 of 35 games. Throughout his college career at UCLA, Bernard demonstrated consistent improvement in his scoring, rebounding, and overall impact on the team. After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, Bernard began his professional career. He played with the Detroit Pistons in the 2022 NBA Summer League before joining the Motor City Cruise in 2022. He then played for the Capital City Go-Go from 2022 to 2023 and the Washington Wizards from 2023 to 2024, appearing in 19 regular season games for the Wizards and averaging 3.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per contest. In the 2024-25 season, Bernard is expected to play for the Cleveland Charge in the NBA G League, after being waived by the Cavaliers. He had signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Cleveland earlier in the preseason but did not make the regular season roster. Prior to this, he was also on an Exhibit 10 contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves before being waived, and is now set to join the Iowa Wolves in the G League for the 2025-26 season.
