Hason Ward, born on September 24, 2000, in Saint Thomas, Barbados, is a Barbadian-Rwandan professional basketball player. Standing 2.06 m tall and weighing 91 kg, Ward plays as a power forward. His hometown is Welchman, Barbados. Ward’s collegiate basketball career spanned from 2019 to 2024. He began his collegiate journey with the VCU Rams, playing for them from 2019 to 2022. After his time at VCU, he transferred to Iowa State University, where he played for the Iowa State Cyclones from 2022 to 2024. During his tenure at Iowa State, Ward showcased his skills, particularly in the 2023–2024 season. He appeared in 28 games, starting in three, and averaged 6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He stood out as the team’s fourth in blocks and second with 18 dunks. Despite his contributions, he missed nine non-conference games due to a foot injury that season.
