GG Jackson

Gregory “GG” Jackson II, born on December 17, 2004, in Columbia, South Carolina, USA, is an American professional basketball player who plays as a power forward/shooting guard for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA. Before his professional career, Jackson excelled in college basketball playing for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2022 to 2023. During his single season in college, he was the Gamecocks’ leading scorer, averaging 15.4 points per game. His time in college basketball was preceded by an impressive high school career at Ridge View, Columbia, South Carolina, where he was named South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year. He led the Blazers to two consecutive state titles in his junior year, averaging 22.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game. Jackson was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies in the second round of the 2023 NBA draft, as the 45th overall pick. Since then, he has played for the Grizzlies (2023-present) and also had stints with the Memphis Hustle. In 2024, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team, and in 2022, to the SEC All-Freshman Team. He measures 2.06 m (6 feet 9 inches) and weighs 95 kg (210 lb).
