CJ Huntley, born on January 6, 2002, in Huntersville, North Carolina, USA, is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He attended Davidson Day School in Davidson, North Carolina, for his high school education, where he developed his basketball skills.
Huntley then pursued his collegiate career at Appalachian State University, playing for the Appalachian State Mountaineers from 2020 to 2025. During his time at App State, Huntley demonstrated a strong work ethic and became a significant player for the team. He finished his college career with an impressive 1,324 points and appeared in 153 games, which ties him for the most in program history. He was also part of 96 wins, the second-most all-time for the Mountaineers.
