Charlie Brown Jr.
Charlie Brown Jr. (born February 2, 1997, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) is an American professional basketball player, currently a free agent. He is a shooting guard, standing 1.98 m tall and weighing 90 kg. Brown attended Imhotep Institute Charter, George Washington, and St. Thomas More high schools. Brown’s college career began with a verbal commitment to West Chester University, but he eventually accepted a scholarship to Saint Joseph’s University. He redshirted his sophomore year due to a medical issue. Throughout his college career at Saint Joseph’s (2016-2019), Brown played in 63 games, scoring a total of 1,006 points and grabbing 352 rebounds. He averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game. Notably, in his freshman year (2016-17), he was honored with the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, averaging 12.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and leading the team in three-point percentage (38.4%) and free throw percentage (81.9%). In his redshirt sophomore season (2018-19), he averaged 19.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. After this season, Brown declared for the 2019 NBA draft, foregoing his final two years of eligibility. Despite declaring for the NBA draft, Charlie Brown Jr. went undrafted in 2019. This marked the beginning of his professional career, during which he played for various teams in the NBA G League and had stints with NBA teams. He signed with the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League on January 25, 2021, where he averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.69 steals in 13 games. Later that year, on October 20, 2021, his rights were traded to the Delaware Blue Coats, where he averaged 16.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 11 games. Throughout his professional journey, Brown has accumulated several career highlights. He is an NBA G League champion (2023), NBA G League Showcase Cup champion (2023), and was the NBA G League steals leader in 2025. He also won the FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup MVP in 2021 and was named to the Second Team All-Atlantic 10 in 2019 during his college years. In the 2023-2024 season, he played for the Raptors 905 and is listed as a Westchester Knicks player for the 2024-2025 season. His NBA career includes 49 games, averaging 2.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game.
