Charles Bediako

Charles Bediako, born on March 10, 2002, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian professional basketball player. Standing at 6’11” and weighing 225 lbs, he plays as a center. Bediako’s high school career began at Ridley College, where he played alongside his brother Jaden. He later transferred to Andrews Osborne Academy as a junior and then to IMG Academy for his senior season. During his senior year at IMG Academy, he averaged 13.2 points and 12.7 rebounds per game. He was also recognized with an SEC All-Freshman Team selection in 2022 and participated in the Jordan Brand Classic in 2021. In his college career, Bediako played for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2021 to 2023. In the 2021-22 season, he earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors, leading the team with 51 blocks and an average of 1.6 blocks per game, which was fifth-best in the SEC. He also led the team in field goal percentage (.692) and was fourth in rebounds (4.3). In the 2022-23 season, he started all 37 games, averaging 6.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 0.6 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game. He was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team after averaging 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game during the tournament. He also earned SEC All-Defensive Team honors and was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2022. In the 2023 NBA draft, Charles Bediako was not selected. Since then, he has embarked on a professional playing career, listed as a free agent. His career history includes playing for the Austin Spurs in 2023–2024 and for the Grand Rapids Gold in 2024–2025. He is currently a free agent.
