Alize Johnson
Alize DeShawn Johnson, born on April 22, 1996, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA, is an American professional basketball player. His personal information includes a listed height of 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in) and a weight of 96 kg (212 lb). He attended St. John Neumann in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for high school.
Johnson’s collegiate career began at Frank Phillips College, where he played for his freshman and sophomore years, from 2014 to 2016. Due to a lack of Division I offers, he began his college journey there before transferring to Missouri State University to continue his athletic and academic career. He played for the Missouri State Bears from 2016 to 2018, where he earned significant accolades, including being a two-time First-team All-MVC (2017, 2018) and the MVC Newcomer of the Year in 2017.
In the 2018 NBA draft, Alize Johnson was selected in the second round, 50th overall pick, by the Indiana Pacers. This marked the beginning of his professional playing career, which started in 2018 and continues to the present.
Throughout his career, Johnson has played for various teams and leagues. After being drafted by the Indiana Pacers, he also spent time with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Pacers’ affiliate). His NBA journey included stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, and San Antonio Spurs. In the G League, he played for Raptors 905, Austin Spurs, and Wisconsin Herd. Internationally, he played for Busan KCC Egis, Atléticos de San Germán, and currently plays for the Kawasaki Brave Thunders of the B. League in Japan (2024–present).
