Thunder 141-106 Hornets

Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Charlotte Hornets for the fifth straight win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points after a one-game absence. Thunder also clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the second consecutive season. Chet Holmgren added 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks.

Isaiah Hartenstein added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma City, who held a 66-49 lead at halftime. Miles Bridges led Charlotte with 20 points and Nick Smith Jr. added 14. The Hornets played without injured starters LaMelo Ball (ankle) and Mark Williams (foot).

Spurs 128-120 76ers

San Antonio Spurs had an 11-3 run in the final quarter to beat the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers. Jeremy Sochan scored 23 points, and Keldon Johnson added 20. Stephon Castle chipped in with 17 points and a season-high 14 assists. Spurs have won two straight games for the first time since Jan. 3.

Quentin Grimes led Philadelphia with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Justin Edwards contributed 25 points and Guerschon Yabusele added 23 points and nine rebounds. The Sixers have dropped third straight game.

Mavericks 123-117 Pistons

Spencer Dinwiddie’s season-high 31-point performance helped the Mavericks beat the Pistons on Friday night. P.J. Washington Jr. added 27 points. including a season-high five 3-pointers. Klay Thompson scored 20 points and Naji Marshall had 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Following a home win, Dallas halted their four-game losing streak but is still behind in the playoffs race. Cade Cunningham paced Detroit with a game-high 35 points. Jalen Duren chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Suns 123-112 Cavaliers

Kevin Durant produced a 42-point outburst as the Phoenix Suns outclassed the East leaders Cleveland Cavaliers. Kevin Durant also passes Kevin Garnett on the NBA’s All-Time FGM List. Suns are still alive in the playoffs race with a third straight win. Devin Booker scored 17 points and Tyus Jones added 16. Royce O’Neale dropped 15 points on five 3-pointers.

Darius Garland scored 18 points for the Cavs, who lost four in a row for the first time this season. Evan Mobley added 16 points and 12 rebounds while Ty Jerome scored 16 against his former team. All-Star Donovan Mitchell managed just seven points.

Trail Blazers 128-109 Nuggets

Portland Trail Blazers squeezed past the Denver Nuggets for their fourth straight victory. Denver played without their star player, Nikola Jokic for the third straight game. Deni Avdija scored 36 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Shaedon Sharpe added 23 for the Blazers, who are two games behind the Mavericks.

Aaron Gordon led the Nuggets with 23 points. Russell Westbrook added 18 points and Michael Porter Jr. chipped in with 17 for the Nuggets, who lost the second straight game. Denver is a half-game behind the Lakers for third place in the West.
