The Denver Nuggets finally ended the Houston Rockets’ winning streak, handing them a 116-111 defeat, their first loss in ten games. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat snapped their losing skid, securing their first win after nine consecutive defeats. Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his stellar form, leading his team to a narrow 103-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

A lot happened in the NBA world as a total of 16 teams clashed against each other across eight matches on Sunday, March 23. Here, we will go through the key highlights of these games. Have a look:

Pistons 136-130 Pelicans

Rookie Ron Holland scored 26 points, five rebounds and six assists to lead the Pistons for a 136-130 win over the Pelicans. Jalen Duren came up with 22 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. Marcus Sasser had 20 points, one rebound and two assists. Dennis Schroder came up with 16 points, one rebound and five assists while Tobias Harris had 14 points, three rebounds and four assists to help the Pistons bounce back from their loss to the Mavericks.

On the other hand, CJ McCollum came up with 40 points, five rebounds and seven assists for the Pelicans, while Jordan Hawkins had 25 points, three rebounds and two assists. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl scored 13 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

Cavaliers 120-91 Jazz

The Cleveland Cavaliers finally snapped their four-game losing streak and took down the Utah Jazz 120-91. Jarrett Allen scored 18 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Cavs while Donovan Mitchell had 16 points, three rebounds and four assists. De’Andre Hunter had 15 points and six rebounds whereas Ty Jerome scored 12 points, three rebounds and three assists.

For the Jazz, Kyle Filipowski had 18 points, 13 rebounds and one assist, whereas Johnny Juzang scored 12 points, four rebounds and two assists. Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson and Brice Sensabaugh finished with 10 points, each.

Heat 122-105 Hornets

The Miami Heat put an end to their nine-match losing streak and recorded a big 122-105 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Andrew Wiggins led the Heat with 42 points, three rebounds and five assists while Tyler Herro scored 29 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kel’el Ware and Davion Mitchell finished with 12 points each while Bam Adebayo chipped in 11 points, four rebounds and two assists.

For the Hornets, Nick Smith Jr. came up with 19 points, three rebounds and three assists. LaMelo Ball had 18 points, three rebounds and eleven assists whereas Miles Bridges chipped in 17 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.

Celtics 129-116 Trail Blazers

The Boston Celtics recorded their fifth straight win and defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 129-116. Jayson Tatum came up with 30 points, nine rebounds and nine assists whereas Sam Hauser had 24 points and three rebounds. The Celtics, who were without Jaylen Brown, also had Derrick White scoring 17 points, three rebounds and eight assists while Payton Pritchard came up with 16 points, four rebounds and five assists.

For Portland, Shaedon Sharpe came up with 23 points, six rebounds and four assists. Toumani Camara scored 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists while Deni Avdija scored 17 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Anfernee Simons scored 15 points, three rebounds and five assists.

Hawks 132-119 76ers

The Atlanta Hawks took down the Philadelphia 76ers 132-119. Trae Young led the Hawks with 28 points, one rebound and 12 assists. Zaccharie Risacher scored 22 points, two rebounds and two assists. Georges Niang finished with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. Onyeka Okongwu chipped in 14 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

On the 76ers’ side, Quentin Grimes came up with 26 points, five rebounds and six assists. Justin Edwards tallied 22 points, three rebounds and three assists. Jeff Dowtin scored 17 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Spurs 123-89 Raptors

The San Antonio Spurs recorded a 123-89 blowout win over the Toronto Raptors. Devin Vassell scored 25 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Julian Champagnie came up with 20 points, five rebounds and two assists. Stephon Castle scored 15 points, five rebounds and one assist, whereas Sandro Mamukelashvili came up with 13 points, seven rebounds and one assist.

On the other hand, Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 22 points, six rebounds and six assists. RJ Barrett followed him with 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists while Jamal Shead had 17 points, two rebounds and six assists.

Nuggets 116-111 Rockets

The Houston Rockets registered their first loss in the last ten games as the Denver Nuggets took them down 116-111. Jamal Murray came up with 39 points, four rebounds and seven assists while Michael Porter Jr. finished with 17 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Russell Westbrook came up with 14 points, two rebounds and one assist.

For the Rockets, Jalen Green scored 30 points, two rebounds and five assists. Dillon Brooks chipped in 21 points, three rebounds and one assist. Alperen Sengun finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds and ten assists.

Thunder 103-101 Clippers

The Oklahoma City Thunder registered a close 103-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander came up with a match-leading performance of 26 points, three rebounds and eight assists. Aaron Wiggins finished with 19 points, three rebounds and one assist while Isaiah Hartenstein came up with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

On the other hand, Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for the Clippers. James Harden tallied 17 points, five rebounds and eight assists while Ivica Zubac scored 15 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.
