The defending champions, who went 25 for 100 in their two losses, were 20-for-40 from 3-point range. Jayson Tatum also rediscovered his form after going 12-for-42 in first two games. Tatum and Pritchard both made five 3s each.

The Celtics were in dominant mode from the beginning and outscored the Knicks 36-20 in opening quarter. The reigning champions extended their lead to 71-46 at halftime. The Knicks went on a 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 23 points but Boston maintained their heavy lead after three quarters.

Boston kept their turnovers to 8 while blocking five shots. They fall short of two 3-pointers to set a franchise record of most threes made in a playoff game.
