NBA Playoffs 2025 Timberwolves vs. Warriors Game 2 Injury Report- Crucial Update on Stephen Curry’s Availability As Dubs Aim To Extend Winning Streak

The Golden State Warriors will return to Target Center in Minnesota for Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals series against the Timberwolves on Thursday, May 8. The visitors are leading the series, after they registered a 99-88 win over the hosts in the opening game on Tuesday. While the victory put them ahead of the Wolves in the series, the Dubs ended up losing their superstar Stephen Curry due to a hamstring injury.

Curry suffered a hamstring strain in the second quarter of Game 1 clash, while he was attempting a rebound. The 37-year-old headed to the locker room and was soon sidelined for the remainder of the clash. He underwent an MRI examination, which identified the injury as a Grade 1 hamstring strain. The Warriors announced that the 11-time All Star will undergo a re-evaluation a week later.

Speaking about the game, Buddy Hield shouldered scoring responsibility for his side in Curry’s absence. He tallied 24 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Apart from him, Jimmy Butler dropped 20 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, whereas Draymond Green came up with 18 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

Rob Dillingham- Out (Right Ankle Sprain)

Rob Dillingham, who missed Minnesota Timberwolves’ first-round win over the LA Lakers and Game 1 of Round 2, will continue to be out of action. The Wolves have listed him out for Thursday-night game with an ankle sprain.

Golden State Warriors’ Injuries

The Golden State Warriors have listed their star Stephen Curry out for the forthcoming clash with a left hamstring strain. After Curry underwent an MRI examination, it was revealed that he suffered a Grade 1 strain, which will keep him out for at least a week. The Warriors were prepared for Curry being unavailable for Game 2, as shared by head coach Steve Kerr in post-Game 1 presser. However, his absence for at least a week comes as a major setback for the Dubs, who were eyeing their eighth championship title.

Apart from Curry, the Dubs have listed Gary Payton II as available for Game 2. Payton was listed as questionable ahead of Game 1. However, he ended up lacing up and finished with eight points, five rebounds, and four assists.
