Draymond Green scripted NBA history during Game 6 loss to the Houston Rockets.
Golden State Warriors’ star forward Draymond Green scripted NBA history during their 115-107 Game 6 loss to the Houston Rockets. Green, who has been one of the most consistent players for the Warriors, climbed up another leaderboard. During the game, as Green reached the mark of 988 career playoff assists, he surpassed Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas on the list of NBA Playoffs’ all-time assists leaders.
The Warriors veteran now occupies the 15th spot on the leaderboard with a total of 992 assists. He is 14 assists shy from surpassing former Boston Celtics star Dennis Johnson on the 14th spot. Adjudged the winner of the 2024-25 NBA Hustle Award, Green has a seasonal as well as overall average of 5.6 assists per appearance. On the other hand, he maintains a playoff average of 6.1 assists per contest. Talking about his career record, the four-time NBA champion averages 8.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per contest.

Apart from his on-court tactics, Draymond Green is known for his antics that have time and again landed him into hot waters. During Game 6, the 35-year-old was called for a flagrant foul 1 in the first quarter after he hit Houston’s Jalen Green in the head. The foul marked his second flagrant in the series, and he has a couple of technicals as well.
The former Defensive Player of the Year wasn’t ejected from the game, and finished the contest with eight points, five rebounds, and seven assists in 37 minutes of action. However, he is nearing a possible one-game suspension.
According to NBA Insider, Anthony Slater, Green is now only two flagrant points away from receiving an automatic one-game suspension. Slater, on X, stated, “If Warriors advance, the Draymond Green flagrant point total could become a topic. He’s now accumulated two in this series. Four in the playoffs triggers one-game suspension.”
As per NBA’s rules and regulations, Flagrant 1 gets one point while Flagrant 2 gets two points. It means that in case Green ends up with a Flagrant 2 in the next few games (subjective to qualification), he will receive a one-game suspension.
After leading the series 3-2, the Warriors were aiming to clinch a series victory as they clashed against the Rockets in Game 6 on Friday, May 2. However, Fred VanVleet led the second-seeds with 29 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists to secure a 115-107 win, forcing a series decider.
