The Cavs have never won a playoff series after going 2-0 down.
Kenny Atkinson would look to celebrate his NBA Coach of the Year award on Tuesday when his side will host the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals. The Pacers, who owned the regular-season series 3-1 against the Cavs, won the series opener 121-112 to put the Cavaliers under pressure.
It has been a reality check for the Cavs, who made a sweep over Miami in opening round. The Cavaliers shot 9-for-38 from three-point range in Game 1 compared to Pacers’ 52% shooting from beyond the arc. However, their bench outscored the Pacers. Indiana are the only side who have defeated Cavaliers three times in Ohio this season.

Evan Mobley (ankle) and De’Andre Hunter (thumb) are two fresh injury concerns for Cleveland. Kenny Atkinson, the NBA Coach of the Year, said there is “real concern” about the availability of both players. Mobley and Hunter sustained injuries in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Game 1 loss.
