The Conference Semifinals 2025 are here! In the first game of the NBA Playoffs 2025 Eastern Conference Semifinals, heavyweights Cleveland Cavaliers will be up against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, May 4. The table-toppers headed into the second round sweeping Miami Heat. On the other hand, the Indiana Pacers faced Milwaukee Bucks in the first-round series of the playoffs.
The Pacers maintained a heavy dominance over the two-time champions and took them down 4-1 to advance a step closer to the coveted Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
Notably, the Cavaliers emerged as one of the best teams in the season. They finished the regular season with multiple streaks and posted a tally of 64-18. The record earned them the top spot in the Eastern Conference. On the flip side, the Pacers, who began the season rather coldly with a 16-18 record, turned things around and are now in their hottest form. The finished the season with 50 wins and 32 losses, which booked them the fourth spot in the standings.
While the Cavs are high on confidence following their regular-season run, the Pacers have taken down the formidable Bucks in the previous round. Needless to say, it is going to be an exciting series.

Darius Garland- Questionable (Left Great Toe Sprain)
As the Cavs stand a critical crossroad following a 4-0 sweep, their playoff journey has taken an unexpected turn. One of the key pieces’ of the Cavs squad, Darius Garland, has found himself on the injury report. Garland is suffering a toe injury, which compelled him to miss Game 3 and 4 against the Miami Heat in the first round. While he went for practice on Friday, his participation in the semifinals series opener remains questionable.
Isaiah Jackson- Out (Right Achilles Tendon Tear)
The Pacers have listed Isaiah Jackson, who has been out of action since early November 2024, due to a torn Achilles. Jackson appeared in only five games for the Pacers this season, where he averaged 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.
