Let's take a look at what happened on Friday in the NBA.

Here’s the NBA Daily Recap for Feb. 7, 2025, where we witnessed seven matchups. It was the first day after an exciting deadline day in the NBA trade. We are also moving into the final weekend before the All-Star event.

From Kyle Kuzma’s debut in Milwaukee’s loss to Brooklyn Nets outscoring Miami in fourth quarter for a comeback win, let’s go through the key highlights from the NBA action on Friday.

Wizards 124-134 Cavaliers

Donovan Mitchell highlighted a 33-point performance as Cleveland Cavaliers survived against the NBA-worst Washington Wizards. Evan Mobley dropped 27 points and Darius Garland added 23 in the win. Jarrett Allen chipped in with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Caves won their sixth game in their last seven. Jordan Poole posted a career-high 45 points for Wizards, who snapped a season-best three-game winning streak. Richaun Holmes contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Hornets 117-116 Spurs

Miles Bridges’ game-winning 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds left helped Charlotte Hornets to secure a one-point win over the San Antonio Spurs. De’Aaron Fox almost pulled it off with a winning 3 at the buzzer but he did not get the shot off in time. Bridges scored 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting and the Hornets snapped a six-game skid. Ball dropped 24 points and 10 assists on his return after an ankle injury. Nick Smith Jr had 19 points and Moussa Diabate added 15 rebounds in the win. De’Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 22 points and Victor Wembanyama managed 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Hawks 115-110 Bucks

Atlanta Hawks pulled off a great comeback in the second half to snatch a win against the Milwaukee Bucks after 21-point deficit. Trae Young scored 24 points and seven assists. Mouhamed Gueye had season-high 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in the win. Dyson Daniels added 15 points and 10 assists as the Hawks halted a five-game home losing streak. The Bucks had 73-55 lead at halftime but couldn’t retain the advantage. Bobby Portis scored 26 points and 15 rebounds for Milwaukee. Damian Lillard added 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Kyle Kuzma had 12 points and seven rebounds on his debut for the Bucks.

Nets 102-86 Heat

Brooklyn Nets’ fourth quarter surge helped them to secure a convincing win over Miami Heat, who played their first game since trading Jimmy Butler to Warriors. Cam Johnson scored 18 points, and D’Angelo Russell added 17. Brooklyn outscored Miami 31-9 in the fourth period and the visitors shot 2 for 21 in the final quarter which is worst shooting for them this season. Terry Rozier scored 20 points off the bench for the Heat and Bam Adebayo had18. Nic Claxton dropped 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for the Nets.

Pistons 125-112 76ers

Malik Beasley racked up a career-high 36 points as Detroit Pistons overcame Philadelphia 76ers. Tobias Harris scored 22 points and nine rebounds for the Pistons, who had a the biggest lead of 34 points in the game. Ausar Thompson added 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the win. Jalen Duren scored 13 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. Tyrese Maxey scored 27 points and seven assists for the 76ers. Joel Embiid added 20 of his 23 points in the second half. The Sixers cut the deficit to 11 points in the fourth but Detroit held the nerves in the end.

Thunder 121-109 Raptors

Jalen Williams scored 27 points, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 25 to help OKC Thunder beat Toronto Raptors on Friday. Chet Holmgren made a return from injury and finished with four points, five rebounds and four blocks. Aaron Wiggins scored 18 points for Oklahoma City, who won their fourth straight. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 21 points and Gradey Dick added 17. Toronto lost third straight and snapped a four-game winning streak on the road.

Suns 135-127 Jazz

Devin Booker posted a season-high 47 points as the short-handed Phoenix Suns overcame Utah Jazz in overtime. Booker scored 22 points before the break on 8-of-12 shooting. Grayson Allen hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game at 122. Suns scored the first eight points of overtime to snap a three-game losing streak. Allen scored 21 points and hit seven 3-pointers. John Collins paced the Jazz with 21 points and Lauri Markkanen contributed 20.
