Stephen Curry dropped a 56-point performance and Golden State Warriors overcame a 19-point deficit to beat the Orlando Magic. Warriors are 7-1 since acquiring Jimmy Butler and it was their fifth straight win. Curry made 12 3 pointers and created a NBA record. He went 16-for-25 overall and made all 12 of his free throws. Curry scored 22 points in third quarter and outscored Orlando, who managed 21 in the period.

Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 41 points and Franz Wagner contributed 27. Quinten Post scored 18 points and five rebounds off the bench for the Warriors. He also added 10 straight points in the second quarter. Draymond Green dropped 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Bucks 121-112 Nuggets

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points, a season-high 19 rebounds to help Milwaukee Bucks squeeze past the Denver Nuggets 121-112. It was a battle between two multiple-MVP winners as Nikola Jokic had 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists.

Brook Lopez scored 22 points, and Damian Lillard had 19 for the Bucks, who won five of their last six. Kyle Kuzma added 16 points and Gary Trent Jr. dropped 15 in the win. Jamal Murray supported Jokic and scored 20 points for the Nuggets.

Mavericks 103-96 Hornets

Charlotte Hornets’ poor form continues as the short-handed Dallas Mavericks moved on from the Luka Doncic’s night and snapped a two-game losing skid. Kyrie Irving scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Moses Brown finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds in his penultimate game on a 10-day contract.

Mark Williams led the Hornets with 26 points and 16 rebounds. Charlotte have lost five straight games but reduced the losing margin this time. Miles Bridges added 20 points and 12 rebounds. Mavericks improved to 19-11 at home after fourth straight win.

Kyrie Irving finished with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in tonight’s win over Charlotte.

Suns 116-124 Pelicans

Zion Williamson’s first career triple-double helped the New Orleans Pelicans to beat Phoenix Suns in the opener of a two-game set. Williamson scored 27 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. CJ McCollum dropped 19 points and Pelicans won their straight game. The Suns held a three-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. New Orleans controlled the game in fourth quarter.

Trey Murphy III scored 18 points and Yves Missi had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Devin Booker led the Suns with 36 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Kevin Durant scored 28 points.

Lakers 111-102 Timberwolves

Los Angeles Lakers overcame the Minnesota Timberwolves for their fourth straight win. LeBron James scored 33 points and 17 rebounds. Austin Reeves added 23 points and Luka Doncic dropped 21 points and 13 rebounds. Los Angeles outscored Minnesota 33-17 in the first quarter to set the momentum.

Terrence Shannon Jr. led the Wolves with a career-high 25 points off the bench. Anthony Edwards received ejection in the third quarter and also completed 16 technical fouls to get one-game suspension. The All-Star guard tallied 18 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker had 14 off the bench.
